Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear polymer, the chemical formula is (C3H5NO)n. It is a white powder or small granular material with a density of 1.302g/cm3 (23 ℃). Good thermal stability, can dissolve in water in any proportion, and the aqueous solution is a uniform and transparent liquid. Polyacrylamide is used as a lubricant, suspension agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, fluid loss agent, and thickener.
